In Hostage Situation Simulator, you take on the role of an expertly trained Sleep Dart Rifle Marksman of the police force's special unit, sent out only to the most precarious of active crime scenes.

The game tests your deduction skills by asking you to identify just who in the office building is disguised and holding the rest of the staff hostage. As hostages are released you are given clues which will help you reason your way towards an individual who fits the description.

The faster you apprehend the criminal, the more points you earn per level!

Tips:

  • The hostage taker is always wearing at least 2 clothing items unique to them. Use this knowledge to start narrowing down the possible suspects early (but note that shoes specifically do not adhere to this rule).
  • Use the helicopter navigation to get better views of the different floors and rooms.
  • Making a somewhat uncertain guess can net you more points if you're feeling lucky!

Navigation Controls:
W - Ask helicopter pilot to ascend.
S - Ask helicopter pilot to descend.
1 - Ask helicopter pilot to move to the eastern vantage point.
2 - Ask helicopter pilot to move to the western vantage point.
3 - Ask helicopter pilot to move to the northern vantage point.
4 - Ask helicopter pilot to move to the southern vantage point.

Dart Rifle Controls:
Mouse - Look around.
Right Mouse Button - Ready weapon.
Left Mouse Button - Fire dart rifle.

NOTE: There is no way to pause or exit out of an active level. If you wish to return to the main menu in this situation, fire your dart rifle at any character to end the level.

I am not able to switch sideviews using the number keys? Cool concept, I would be interested in playing it more if this is fixed. Also it would be cool if a sensitivity slider was added, it seemed too high for me.

Thank you for pointing this out and for playing!

I've submitted a new build:
The helicopter movement should be fixed, and while I do not have the time to implement a slider, I have after testing the game on a few different monitor sizes arrived at an overall more comfortable sensitivity level.
